Nice picture Colin.
The weather near me has been pretty dismal in Sheffield but on my commute, through the peace gardens, I’ve noticed one or two Hawthorns coming into life :D . Not much else YET though.

Surely it's much too early for hawthorn? Maybe cherry or apple.

Lots of blackthorn blossom out in South Oxfordshire.

It's in about a 10ft high hedge all coming out in white flowers. We did have a very warm few days a couple of weeks back, so things may be early ? I can't recall seeing apples or cherries there in past years though, but I'm no expert in identifying stuff so always happy to be corrected.

I don't know if this picture of the leaves tells you much. There may be a mix of things in the hedge.

I don't do plants, but flowers look like blackthorn, cf:

It is Blackthorn. Blackthorn flowers appear before the leaves, Hawthorn flowers appear after the leaves.

After spending years on MTBs, bought my first road bike. Just an entry level one from Halfords.

Came off it after 10km (handlebars turned 90 degrees after Halfords 'Built' the bike!) However got up and fixed it. After that the bike came into it's own, I got more confident on it and after 1 ride I can say that I think I'm going to fall in love with road riding!

Plus the weathers getting warmer, I've got plenty of routes planned and can't wait to get out there and put some miles on the bike!

Cycled very slowly past the adventure playground by the river. How delightful to see and hear kiddies (and grandparents) screeching and gambolling in the sunshine

Got a hybrid and am now getting out on trails and canal paths and done a couple of group rides
Had a road bike for a few years but hardly went out on it due to traffic fears
Great to be out in the fresh air again

Dry ride today , nice temperature saw a hare and a roe deer stag and a few friendly waves from drivers on the wee back roads.

Had a short ride yesterday evg, only 5 or 6 miles in the evening sunshine but after a period of enforced idleness it was heavenly!
