Ta.
Slightly cheaper than at Cycle Sense, but still a big investment.

Edit: My problem was I started looking at Futura Ergotec which covers a myriad of different seat posts.
I needed to be looking for Futura 27.2.

You don't have to put up with 17mm,a Thorn layback seatpost has 25mm and a Humpert Ergotec has 45mm,both are 400mm long posts iirc.
I'm looking for the Humpert Ergotec with the 45 mm layback but no luck so far.
Especially as most sites don't quote a layback.
I have one of the awful things.......do you want to make me an offer?

Nothing quite like the hard sell.
Not prejudicing any offer, but what is the worst thing about it?
Oh, and which Ergotec?
I've realised that there are many variants/.

I have tried Velo Orange Grand Cru and other similar ones that I believe all come out of the same Chinese factory and are rebadged. Didn't get on with any of them for various reasons. My best layback ones I have are my Nitto S84s and I also have a S83 which is slightly less layback. Hubjub usually have them all in stock and although expensive they are well worth the money.

Whole thread here details what I don't like about them. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=143450
My post has "ergotech 4" written on it. Mounted a saddle on it, cursed it, never fitted it in a bike.

Apologies for not following up.
I've been away.
It may be a few days (or longer) before I get back to the seat post issue.
Just updating to say thanks for the offer and information and I'm not ignoring you.
