Shouldn't laugh at this but
Saw it on the Internet.
Some wags had left a bicycle seemingly unattended leaning on a tree.
What you couldn't see was the carefully concealed rope securing the bike to the tree.
Much fun as thieves rode off hell for leather ,only to launched over the handlebars as rope reached its limit.
Marvelous fun!
Don't think it was a UK stunt .
Probably get locked up for thirty years if you tried that here.
We do so love are criminals.

Saw some vids like this, American, and yes, very entertaining. Down side was when the rope came undone and the thief dissappeared with the bike

At least in the clips I saw the thieves didn't get the bike , they were pursued and ridiculed however.
Unfortunately the sort of low life filth that steal bikes are not going to be deterred by ridicule ,can only hope they lost some teeth when they were unceremoniously forced to eat mud.
Actually it was a bit disturbing to see how many people were out there purely looking to steal a bike.
I would strongly erge any creative minded persons to pull more stunts like this one (not only on bike thieves ,but on all low life)
The forces of law and order seem powerless to do anything ,so let the finest in purveyors of humiliation ,give us honest citizens some moments of pleasure at least.
