Wouldn't be surprised. Holme Moss and Bleaklow were covered in snow yesterday and the gritters were caught out. Thunder, lightning, hail, sleet. Emergency blanket in the Carradice weather.

Hi,

As promised, here are some piccys of the 'Snake crack'. I was thinking of logging it on CTC's find a hole website but was worried that someone may have a sense of humour faliure.

As I've said before about 25 yards of road has sunk and it is definitely rideable up to and beyond the slip and is virtually traffic free at the moment. The cracks seem to be growing a little and I think they will continue to do so while be have the wet weather (it seems move every year, but with record amounts of rain....). The slip is not too bad on the uphill side at the moment, but as you can see from the pictures the downhill is a different story.

I think the road will be passable (by bicycle) until they get round to repairing it. My only worries are if too much vehicle traffic goes up and around the barrier and the Police start getting heavy 'cos I doubt it's being patrolled at the moment.
