My trike only has front brakes, one on each wheel. If the road is dry I can slam both front brakes on and stop in a very short distance lifting the back wheel about 18 inches off the ground.

I have to be sure to use the outside brake when cornering for the same reason as using the front brake. The inside wheel has very little grip at speed.
