The intriguing case of the lost helmet. A 'true' wearer would never go near their bike without it on, let alone ride it! God forbid, think of the risk

Thinking about this, I reckon that the helmet owner was on an End2End. Milnthorpe is on the A6 and on the "standard" End2End route .... I've passed through the town on my rides a few times.
Maybe the rider wasn't an experienced rider and just forgot about the helmet. By the time he/she would have remembered, it could've been too late to turn back.
Just an idea.

Plenty of enders through there for sure. The corner of the carpark has She's food van. Not a bad place to stop for refreshments. Very popular van indeed.
