Cycling and PSA test (prostate)

Post by danfoto »

I'm due a routine PSA test shortly, and I seem to remember reading somewhere that cycling can cause the test to read high.

I know that it's very much a matter of opinion how accurate the test is anyhow, but does anybody happen to know of any established link between cycling and elevated PSA results?

I see its recommended not to cycle before taking the test.

Thanks for that, Paulatic! My Google-fu is obviously not strong.

It does rather look like everything to do with the PSA test is subject to all sorts of ifs and buts ...
