I'd be trying rubbing a good local honey on it.

I keep forgetting.
By the way I have had it for a couple of years now so it's going to take a bit of time to repair. :(

Hi,
With that sort of thing daily application is needed.

I have very greasy skin (adult acne for last 40 + years :? ) and am still on treatment, though you would never know.
From early childhood I had dry skin rashes either side of nose and also in last ten years on lower legs (might be as a result of thrombosis), daily application of E 45.

I have the same issue. I am also significantly follically challenged. (OK..I'm bald)
Try Germolene.

I have heard of people putting their cycle helmets in the dishwasher to clean them. Not tried it myself and I'm not sure if they take the dishes out first or run it with the tablet.
Just had my first forehead rash so I'm guessing it's a bacterial thing going on from the stale sweat in the pads. Pinched some aloe vera gel with teatree from the wife (says it's antiseptic) and soaked the pads in antibacterial wash.

You might try an antifungal cream if all else fails, in case it is something like that.

Also, if you are cleaning the rim of the helmet with any kind of detergent, maybe finish off with a very gentle soap.( I'd avoid a detergent on the materials of a helmet anyway).

I doubt that is a good idea as a lot of plastics are not dishwasher safe.
