Not a good idea for the phone, as I discovered several years ago when the seat pack quietly unzipped itself enough to deposit my phone on the roadside, somewhere during a 150km day in northern France.

Your poor choice of bag notwithstanding - the best way to carry stuff is on the bike...
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Enough spares and knowledge to get you home.
A think through of what could reasonably happen whilst out for a ride should throw up the information to you.
That's what you need.

It all depends how far you are away from town with a bike shop, a bus/train service or a wife/partner/whoever, I like to be self-sufficient so I carry all this :-

1 set of tyre levers + 2 spare
3 inner tubes
Folding tyre
Tyre patches
1 small head torch in winter
marigold gloves
Small length of chain (3 inches)
1 small chain tool
Spare spokes
Kevlar spoke
hypercracker
Spare nuts, bolts, powerlinks
Wire cutters
Pliers
Adjustable 100mm & 150mm spanners
2 small screw drivers
Small sockets to fit screw driver handle
First aid kit with triangular bandage paracetamol, co-codamol, gaviscon tablets
Batteries for rear light and computer
Small tyre pump (not mini)
1 Co2 pump
Zip ties
spare keys for house, bike locks
Phone
Pen and paper
10 sheets of kitchen roll
Very small bottle of hand cleaner
Insulation tape
£5 in small change
Small roll of gaffer tape
Brake and gear cables
Spare bite valve for camalbac
Small roll string

After reading that list I'm tempted to say I'm not sure if you're paranoid or just riding a poorly maintained bike ;)

More extensive than my kit but a few alternatives I carry:
Very small bottle of hand cleaner -> those disposable wet hand wipes in sachets
Also a pair or those latex gloves - weigh nothing, take no space but great if you need to do anything.

I carry a descent lock and big secure cable (i.e enough to lock bike to a tree) on the basis that if any bad failure happens I can lock the bike securely and call a taxi. But my lock and cable probably weigh more than your entire list.

I must confess I have taken the coffee and small stove with its gas cannister on a ride of 50 miles. I did enjoy sitting on a camping pillow looking out over the countryside. I do have a kindle app on the phone.
No idea what a Bialetti is

Here's a partial view of my Bialetti

On the school run there's also a pink Mini Mouse umbrella in there somewhere too. Fantastic for resistance training.

^^^ You might enjoy a Bialetti Brikka: it has a weight like that on a pressure-cooker to increase extraction pressure. I like the result better than with a straight moka pot. The 2-cup version is better than the 4-cup.

BTW, did you see that the son of the Bialetti founder died recently, and the funeral urn was a very large moka pot?

... and that more than 300 million moka pots have been sold since 1933! (Daily Telegraph)

Wow! if I carried this amount of gear it wouldn't matter if I broke down as I'd have only managed a couple of miles from home before feeling exhausted

I have carried some of those items, depending on where i am going and length of ride etc.

Back when i started bikes were not especially reliable and having the tool kit out on club runs was not an unusual event.

Many of the items listed would be included in a small tool roll. Though spare batteries would be reserved for days where hours of darkness might be encountered. I have had spare cables in the bottom of the saddle bag when on longer distance audaxes.

These days am more likely to restrict kit carried to a multitool that covers most eventualities, inner tubes and levers as well as a pump of course (that almost goes without saying).

Carry a small first aid kit when on MTB with junior club but would be inclined to carry Aspirin rather than Paracetamol if carrying any drugs, Aspirin is far more useful in case of chest pain etc.

I notice waterproof does not seem to be high on most people's list?????

If nobody mentioned shorts it's because they're taken for granted too. ;)

My bike/trike is perfect and very well maintained, but I help a lot of cyclists that are not

Actually it sounds a lot, but it's quite light and fits all into a small dry bag
