No, that is how the people surveyed said they voted.
I surveyed 12,369
Who?
Where?
What about the other 30odd million?

Of course. They tend to be the most deprived areas which tend to have a larger proportion of the elderly and the ill educated. Those were demographically the groups most likely to vote for exit.
You might think them stupid but they clearly understood that Britain has been a net contributor for forty years and receives no " EU money" .
Some areas are clearly not net contributors and the EU deemed them in need of development money. There aren't many places in my area without an "EU funding plaque". If the UK gov puts their money, saved from the EU, directly to these places then "out" might end up being a good thing.
I've not seen any evidence of the so called "Northern Powerhouse" and I won't hold my breath.

Remain
Not a great European or anything, but pragmatic - couldn't be bothered with economic upheaval. Ah, well...

Fair enough that is exactly right, formed from people who were surveyed.
As to who they surveyed , I would imagine they were people like yourself. People who respond to and give time to surveys.
I look forward to reading your comments in the next Cornwall survey. Sadly you didn't feature in the last one.
https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/media/92153 ... survey.pdf So are we to take no notice of the next survey? Did you waste your time filling it in?

Waste my time?
Possibly, but it didn't take long!

Where did I say stupid - your word not mine. If you want to comment on what people say here please don't put your words into their mouths.

If the supporters of brexit politicos are sensible they will try and do a deal asap? seems like the EU is keen to get this over with asap and therefore may just bite the bullet and give the UK what it wants?

I would agree. Delaying against the wishes of the EU is only going to anger them even more (UK acting it its own interests, at its convenience and disregarding everybody else again). And annoying them even more is only going to make them dig their heels in over any concessions and cooperation even more.
Because we don't actually "have the right" to anything. They could just pretend to negotiate, playing for the 2 year limit then refuse any extension and UK is out just like that with no agreements. So the negotiations are basically the UK asking for something more.

I don't think they'll give much away will they. If it looked like Britain got anything good it would fuel right wing elements in other countries to campaign for an exit.

They're already campaigning for exits and have been for a while.

Yes they have.
My point was
fuel for the fire.

Plus it will help swing popular opinion towards their position. If those campaigning to leave can start saying "Look at the UK, no Freedom of Movement, no payments, no regulations yet they have complete access to the free trade area ... we should get the same deal" whereas those in favour of not leaving will have better public support if they can point to "look at the UK, they left and 6 months later in recession, unemployment rising and far worse than ours, lost their top credit rating, exports plummeted, etc.".

Exactly that, I can't see how it's in the EUs interest to either give the UK an easy time or prolong it.

Nissan are now saying no comment on the future of their car plant in Sunderland. If they fully intend to stay they would be saying so. It'll devastate the local economy if the 8,000 jobs do go.
Nissan is controlled by Renault which is effectively controlled by the French government.

On the radio earlier that HSBC are moving a load of jobs from London to Paris. And if they are I'd guess other banks will do the same.
