Not nearly as important though.
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

I think, having never actually placed a bet, that you both keep a copy of the bet, so that there is no question of one of you being able to alter it without it becoming rapidly obvious that at least one of you has done so...

Your betting slip is scanned ("captured") so there is an electronic copy - which is the master copy, the customer getting a print of the scan, so actually it doesn't have to be in pen, but it came to mind as I read the debate about pen vs pencil.

Popped in to argos last week, all the pens are gone and they give you a pencil now to record your chosen item on the slip. Where have all the pens gone - not to the polling stations.
Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X2, Raleigh 20 stowaway X2, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840, Giant Bowery, Apollo transition. :D
