I did Eurovelo 6 through France last September and it was appalling ..however they had a hot summer which I missed.

Off again for a month from Cherbourg to EV6 down to Lyon, the Med and a loop back..and yep the weather and route is much more a consideration than terrorism.

How was EV6 appalling? Busy?

Apologies, the weather was appalling. The route itself was fine :D

The weather is good at the moment, hope it still is in another 3 weeks! The southwest from Biarritz up to La Rochelle should be decent weather, as I go further north and inland it may not be so.
