Where? :?

In some ways its a Good Thing its gone.
<looks at palms of hands to check its not there>

I was in the Pyrennes in 1973 and there was one of those defining moments that is never forgotten.

While browsing all the shiny continental bling in a roadies bike shop, I was appoached from behind with a (in French) "Can I help you madamoiselle?"
When I turned around, my own embarrassment was far excelled by the red face of the shocked and apologetic shop assistant.

I think the latest solo effort has pushed you further up on general. Good job it wasn't asdace in the pyrennees: his coiffure makes your look quite short

What's happened to your 'baldy' pic? 8) \I'm sorry you must have decided to delete it. I'm having enough of a job getting everybody else to compete without you climbing into the sag wagon.

This one was in 1974 outside my local pub, as you can see I've a good set of hair then.

Hooray

Carrying on the awards, I think I should like to nominate asdace for the title of 'Best All Rounder' in respect of this thread at least.

(I was originally thinking of something in the 'aggressive rider' category, where a special red race number is issued but he does not look at all aggressive 8) )

I also think Asdace should get an award to being the best at finding his old photo albums, peeling them out, and using a scanner!

Stand by for me finding some time to do the same!

It's getting a bit competative now  so I must push for a stage win.
This was taken during a race in 1977, Otago NZ. My mate Syd (originally from Leeds, but I don't hold that against him) on the front right of the picture, and me grovelling on the left front.

Oh well, you can't win them all. Looks like I won't win the sexy cyclist's category, I think we need a few more Women for that one.

I'm glad you appear to have decided not to abandon. When I saw you looking as though you were going to slip off the back, I was trying to think of something to post to to help you get back on.

I'm interested in what happened to Ignatz? He lit the blue touch paper and has not been seen since

I think this is agreat thread. It illustrates how we were all at different stages in 1973 from being pushchairs to pushing them. We've also seen some IMO very interesting pics of cyclists over the last 50 years. I hope we will see some more - I wonder if people are shy or bored?

(It also shows how politically correct we have all become.)

TO ANYBODY WITH SOME OLD PICS IN THE ALBUM AND ACCESS TO A SCANNER, DON'T BE SHY :!:

I'm really enjoying this thread, if only from the sidelines (I spent the latter half of 1973 gestating).

I'll post some more when I can find the transparency adapter for my scanner. All mine and my families photos are slides rather than prints.
