Hi All,
I've been riding for a couple of years on an old mountain bike. decided to bite the bullet on the cycle to work scheme and get a road bike. I've never ridden a road bike but have friends who'll drag me along on their rides however I can't decide between 2 bikes! can anyone offer an opinion on these two?!

Hi Neil,
Happy riding with your new road bike!
If the bike is actually going to be used for commuting, and it is your only bike, then I strongly suggest having a road bike with proper mudguard eyelets.
I have a Cannondale synapse. Lovely bike, but all the mudguard possibilities are all a bit flimsy. Not up to the job or four seasons commuting to work!
If the bike is for dry weather use only, the synapse is awesome. Can't comment on the giant as never rode that bike.
