"Royal Navy veteran Roy Galvin, from Alverstoke, in Gosport was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth following the incident in Bury Road, Gosport, on Sunday.
The 69-year-old had been with his wife Deborah, who was in a wheelchair, when the argument broke out with a cyclist during which he was allegedly pushed over and hit his head on the road.
Mr Galvin was treated for a serious head injury but died on Wednesday morning."
"A Hampshire Police spokesman said: "We can now confirm that sadly the 69-year-old man who hit his head on the road following a dispute on the one-way system on Bury Road in Gosport at around 5.50pm on Sunday (September 25) has died."

"A PENSIONER was attacked and pushed into a road while walking with his wife, who was in a wheelchair at the time of the incident."
It appears perhaps he was cycling on the pavement against the one-way street, hence the altercation.
This report suggests not in fact a wheelchair but a motorised scooter

Re: Cyclist charged with manslaughter after death
Why a 'cyclist'? Why not a criminal who was riding a bike?
An awful tragedy and I'm sorry the world works in this way sometimes.

Re: Cyclist charged with manslaughter after death
He was a pedestrian at the time of the incident not a person on a bike, just to be accurate. this should not in any way stand up as a death by a cyclist statistic if found guilty.
