Has anyone done this route? I'm thinking about going there this October. Any tips would be great.

Thanks,
Dom.

Have you any preferences for flat & fast or hilly & scenic?
How long have you got?
Big cities & tourists or remote places?
Wildlife or wild night life?

I've done loads of routes that could be linked up to give you a good route as have others.

My plans have changed since I posted this subject. It turns out that I'll only have a week on the road, what I'll probably do is make it up as I go along and see how far I can get in that space of time.

I'm more interested in Historical places than Beaches, although they're rather good for resting on after a long day in the saddle!

As the crow flies its 710km from Valencia to Faro.
By road the short route is 900km with only Cordoba & Sevilla being the big historic cities.
To head south via Cazorla to Granada then Cordoba etc is approx 1,020km.
The weather will be ideal for cycling with an average daily max of 20 to 26C.
It a long way but one heluva ride!

Yep, it is quite a distance to do in a short space of time. Maybe if I had a few weeks to spend I would give it a go. Instead I have decided to cycle down to Almeria.

I can't make up my mind whether or not it is worth taking the old tent. Hmm...

Guess what? I'm going to give it a go. I managed to get a bit of extra time off work, and all I need to do now is to plan my route to Faro.

So any suggestions for places of interest, campsites, or routes in Andalucia would be great.

Thanks,
Dom.
