Blair is back with his words of wisdom?

Post by mercalia »

and says

He added: "If it becomes clear that this is either a deal that doesn't make it worth our while leaving, or alternatively a deal that's going to be so serious in its implications people may decide they don't want to go, there's got to be some way, either through Parliament, or an election, or possibly through another referendum, in which people express their view."

I am inclined to agree. just common sense

Before you decide to do some thing you really want to know how it is going to pan out in real life before you make a final decision? There is some thing absurd and worrying and unreal about Mays Brexit is Brexit

I totally agree with you.

I still do not like Blair and do not trust him.

In the same way I don't like or trust May or previously Cameron.

The whole problem is the UK public doesn't know anything,if anyone watched Questiontime last night and listened to the absolute flannel and stuttering utterings of minister Mr Nice But Dim,Dreg Clarke,it doesn't look like the UK public will get to know until the trap, err sorry, plan has been hatched.

Unfortunately I can not write what I think about the ones after Blair. It is against forum rules.

Sorry, I'm having memory problems. The last I remember of Blair was in about 1997, when he told us that he was a pretty straight sort of guy. What on earth can have happened since then?

It'll be interesting to see if all the naïve types who told us Blair was the messiah, and then told us how they'd been horribly and cruelly betrayed by him, now start telling us that the sun has resumed shining out of his derriere.

I can see Blair and Campbell returning 'to save the country'. As there aren't many other high profile politicians talking so openly about thwarting Brexit, I imagine he's spotted an opportunity.

I would be very surprised if that happened, it would really convince you that the Great British Public was thick as ****.
For those who were not already feeling that way after Brexit.

Well once they've finished here there's plenty other countries to choose from, especially if they can make a fast buck out of them

The only thing that would convince me that May was being straight with us, would be if Blair said she was lying.
