which front mech works with Campag Xenon Escape?

Post by PhilipI »

Apologies right now if this has been answered before, but if so I couldn't see it. What I did see was evidently good advice, not to go and buy Campag Xenon QS Escape 9 speed levers. Wish I'd seen it before I paid! They don't like the existing Veloce 9/10sp front mech - it looks as though this mech needs a longer cable pull to get across the the big ring.

Now I have them, can anyone tell me which front mech will work with them? Or do I have to throw them away?

Thanks very much for your help

A Shimano Altus 7 speed MTB cfront mech should have the correct cable pull.

AFAIK any Campag QS front mech should work fine with an Escape (aka Powershift) shifter. I had Centaur QS Escape Ergo's shifting fine with a Racing T QS front mech on my Moulton TSR30.
