Cycling shoe size

Hi,

Just wondering how tight cycling shoes should be... I have a new pair (my first). They are certainly not tight, but they are definately very snug all over. This seems to make them quite sweaty... The next size up seemed to involve quite a lot of rattling around...

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Ben

Hi Ben

I think you may have to go up a size. I find i have to wear size 46 cycling shoes even though i'm 44/45 in trainers, maybe feet expand during exercise?

The manufacturers vary quite a bit too, shimano seem to be very narrow and diadora suit my wide feet better though i'm sure some people find the opposite is true.

How thick are your socks? Maybe some x-socks or similar would help, they're very thin and breathable and never feel sweaty with ventilated shoes. No good in winter though!
