Hi.
Thought i'd say hi - new member to the forum, not currently a CyclingUK Member (BC member for 3rd party and 10% Halfords discount)
Cycle for transport and transport only around the Denmead/Horndean/Waterlooville/Fareham area primarly as a ~11 mile each way commuter.
Looking to very actively join the campaign trail, had enough of close passes and drivers aiming at me ( police matter, but this is Hampshire..
.) so looking to change attitudes (feels like an impossible challenge when the ASA says primary isn't allowed to be presented) and get more suitable networks around the towns - I see so many 10 to 16 year old kids cycling to school at commuting time along routes that i've been driven at before, so many ride on the pavements, and then get shouted at by pedestrians.
Am currently also looking to get a E-Bakfiets soon, finances allowing, to really change what we, as a family, can do to reduce/exclude <3 mile drives.
Cheers!
