It is hard to understand why some of them are falling off quite so often though; most people fall off once with clipless pedals, and that's it.
I think a lot of it is the basic lack of any kind of cycling experience rather than just the pedals, and especially the lack of cycling while extremely exhausted. The falls from the model woman seem to be more blind panic than lack of ability....she was fine on the traffic free, flat ride at the start but as soon as she net traffic, narrow roads and descents she was very alarmed.

Hi,
There's a road near me which I can do 45mph down
In my youth we used to go cart down it on planks and pram wheels (pavement) , we could never get enough speed
Grazing your knees is a good life builder.

Surprised we've no comments on tour de celeb this week. I wouldn't like to be in a team with Hugo. Lieing, shallow, no endearing qualities at all I've no idea who is but I would guess his parents have too much money and should be very disappointed with their progeny.
I'm now hooked and finding it entertaining will follow it to the end.

Hi,
Yes very entertaining and there is some riding also

This week is 5 / 10.
What is weird is that some cant even manage basics, but all can finish who started a 140 K ride, more reliably than a Soap Wedding, a warm up for the real event next time.
Cant miss the last episode even though you can almost predict how it will finish.

Agree, that Hugo is a bit of a waste of space. As Darren said, you did that in his cricketing days you'd be out the team , full stop. But, he was probably chosen for exactly those attributes for the show, to provide "entertainment".

Biggest issue with all these celeb things, is that I've never heard of any of the celebrities.
I suspect their claim to fame is having been on a celebrity something.

Ones a model? Towie.
ones was a presenter of childrens tv. BBC.
Ones a Essex wanabe? Chelsea.
Ones a ex cricketer who appeared on Strictly and strictly takes two this week. BBC.
Another is an ex model.......no idea how they got the job? ah strictly BBC.
Ones a ballet dancer?
Ones an Olympian.
Ones a ex rugger player who never wants to go home and cycles the continent.
I gleaned that from the program.
