Hah no
Sorry to confuse, I was just saying that unless you can afford a doctor who specialises with sports you are stuck with your GP.
You just have to keep banging on to them to help you with problems, you can understand that if you say that you can run for an hour or ride for several they are not likely to sympathise with problems that only occur with the exercise, any problems you might have with exercise are likely to be viewed as self inflicted.
But sometimes they will be happy to help, don't disregard any symptom when seeing you doctor, plenty of fit people have heart attacks, I would suggest any one who has a unusual heart rate pattern get it checked out I.M.O.

I still say that that the OP should seek medical advise just to rule out any nasty's and manually check your heart rate against the HR monitor.

I agree. I would also advise the OP to see his GP. Better safe than sorry

People think I'm too casual about my heart, but I'm lucky to be seeing one of the top Cardiologists in the country (through the NHS). He's the guy that got Ranulph Fiennes doing 7 marathons in 7 days after his heart attack.

I'm relaxed about it because he's tested me for years and is happy that my heart is OK. He's just given me the Ok to cycle the high passes of the Himalayas next year.

I would advise him to see his GP, get tested and hopefully put his mind at ease.
