Ideas re location 5 days in April for 'human powered fun'

My son (9) and I (age withheld to protect the innocent :) ) are away in april for 4/5 days. We will be in a caravan. We will be taking the following; 1 recumbent trike (mine), 1 'MTB' and 1 BMX (my son's), several pairs of inline skates (ours) and a pair of roller skis (mine).

Question; does any one know of a location about 300 miles max from Dunkirk that has a range of good quality (smooth) cycle paths/routes that are useful for inline skating on and tracks for general cycling e.g. trike and Faux MTB use? Preferably near to a caravan site.

As you can see the week will focus on human powered transport :) . I have in mind something similar to the track that runs alongside Lake Annecy, or around Lake Leman (Geneve) or the forest trails near Troyes (France) or even something similar to that in germany south of Berlin (Flaeming).

Any suggestions welcome - I had thought of visiting any of the above locations or even somewhere near a city like Strasbourg (apparently the skating potential is good there). However, Berlin is too far and I've been to Annecy......

Any thoughts?

Go onto http://www.af3v.org/ (where you will see a pic of the Piste Cyclable du lac d'Annecy that you mentioned).

Click on the Union Jack to get the site in English and do a search on VVVs by activity.

There appear to be 111 off-road routes suitable, for example, for inline skating, from 4km to over 160 km.

The Voie Vert du lac Du Der http://240plan.ovh.net/~afv/FicheVoieAng.php?voie=114
in the French Ardennes sounds nice for rollerblading ... and has links to the Vélovoie des lacs de la Forêt d’Oreient.

But there again there are lots of temptiations on the site for relaxed traffic-free pootling with kids ...
