Wall mounts

Evening all.
Come spring tine i plan to graduate from my beloved trek MB to a lightweight road racing bike. The issue is that there is zero storage in my new house so am gonna have to mount it on the wall. In the living room "hipster" style.
Problem is I cant find any mounts that would hold the bike flush to the wall. The second obstacle is the walls are made from powdery crappy particle board so hoping wall plugs aplenty will hold it. The brick/supporting walls all have bloody windows in them, of all things!.
Any ingenious solutions to these issues?

Closeness to the wall is limited by handlebars and pedals...
Weight bearing capacity is limited by wall...
You could probably make a freestanding stand (only needs to 'not fall forward') which would hold the bike - or use one of the 'grips the rear axle' mini stands?

There are several types of free standing mounts such as http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Gear-Up-Lean-Ma ... _35530.htm

If you want to be hipster, an old set of dropped bars does the job. Wire of drill and screw https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=dropp ... 60&bih=511

I guess the particle board is attached to vertical wooden studs that would be suitable for holding the weight of the bike plus rack, using wood screws. You could buy a stud detector to locate them, I got mine from Lidl. As for racks, I got some from Halfords, (years ago and I don't know if they currently stock them) that do the job very well and one version can be folded up to be parallel with the wall when not in use which would be handy. These wall mounted racks are also good for keeping the weight off your tyres, if you don't use the bike for a few months say.

There's always the ceiling, I bought one of these type of things, I think it was from either Lidl, Aldi or The Range it was about £5.

Halfords have one for £15.

It still relies on finding something a bit more substantial than plaster board to attach it to.

That looks the absolute knackers!! Nice one.
Freestanding isnt an optiom due to the place being tiny but cheers for the replies people, much appreciated.

Freestanding includes standing against the wall - I'm only thinking of an upright and a small floor plate to
Stop it tipping forward. Basically means you don't care about wall strength - and will be thin enough not to move the bike out....

Floor-to-ceiling allows more bikes to be stored, in vertical position.
It gets deeper, tho, as much as the saddle height
