A question which arises in my mind is: what conclusions do we draw if we do ever learn which is the biggest Forum?

More relevant to me is: which is the most active Forum?

From day-to-day observation down the years (casual observation, not for this purpose or for scientific analysis) I believe that this (CTC/CUK) Forum is becoming less and less active. Am I right in this? I'm asking a straight "yes or no" question, not an invitation for a politician's answer which explains why bad news is good news and questions all evidence anyway, unless it glorifies them-selves.

And if this Forum is becoming less active, both in the sense of of posts per day and numbers of regular posters, is it indicative of anything?.........and is it related to dwindling CTC/CUK membership?

In case anyone asks, I look on other forums infrequently but I've never posted, nor even joined, any of them.

I honestly don't know what the statistics are. I don't have any access to that sort of information.

We have been going now for 10 years and I'm rather surprised that some other trendy tech function hasn't overtaken phpBB.

However, the frequent gold nuggets to be found here make it all worthwhile.

Oh come on brypoeth - for example, just look around the posts that have been asking for advice and information, and then the original poster has thanked people who've posted with advice and help. For another example - have a read of Brucey's and Colin531's gold nuggets.

Only joking, I wrote some of the nuggets myself... There used to be a breakfast cereal called golden nuggets, gr8 to eat when the hostel is full and the next is 18 miles away. Grape nuts were good too, I think they contained neither grapes nor nuts..
:o

Brucey reminds me of Roland Berger (knows everybody, knows everything), he seems to know everything at least

I expressed the wish that the laws of physics could be changed so that one could cycle up hill without having to cycle down again, hoped for a lot of reaction, there was not much. I really did not mean it sarcastically. I am s****t scared of riding down Bwlch Oerddrws, but I love riding up it. Bwlch Llyn Bach is about my limit for descending and it is fun to ride up.

I cited a correspondence in the Gazette about using bananas to prevent saddle sores.. plenty more..

Bob Monkhouse: at school they asked me what I wanted to be. A comedian, I said. They laughed at me. They are not laughing now
