Plain pedals - any decentish ones?

Post by Cliff »

My wife likes plain pedals for her commuting bike (no toe clips, just double sided flat pedals). I have replaced them 2 times in 3 years - and they really needed it before then! Are there any reasonable ones about?

I guess that she must ride about 1500 miles per year and the bike is usually left outside overnight so whilst the mileage isn't massive, they do take a bit of a pounding from the elements.

Oddly I have found that even cheap SPDs or LOOK pedals will give many years of service without developing a clicking noise or simply falling apart. Surely there is something?

There are plenty available, just not from every local shop these days. Try SJS cycles, or Spa Cycles.

Something like MKS Sylvan road should do the job.
