I could understand "mocha", but what the heck does "mokka" mean?
Could be a fiord formation?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mokka_Fiord_FormationIf so, shouldn't it be a Ford Mokka?

It sounds to me like somebody who pokes fun.
To the OP
Don't be disheartened by this frivolity, weak though the humour may seem. It will keep your thread in view for a while longer and somebody who knows the answer may post. I wonder what happened to my frame-fitting Primus clip.

Probably shunted (as can happen to a rear-mounted bike rack.)

What no Magnet, 1100, Renault 5
You have to way up damage to interior of vehicle to damage to bike on rack, like roof mounted, I am sure that roof mounted take more damage in higher numbers?

Vauxhall Viva made a recent comeback - albeit with a new design

If you go for the roof mounted option,
Thule Slide Bars make getting the bikes loaded a little easier.
I've got them fitted to my Skoda estate and, by just extending one bar, I can get my Kayak loaded single handed.

If that's a serious question:
Trademarks. Easier to register and then defend your trademark if it's a unique, made-up word, or sounds like a real word but has unique spelling.
Googleability [sorry]. If your car has a made-up word as a name, it'll always do well in the results when someone searches for it (provided they can remember your weird spelling). Use a common word and you're competing with all the other web pages mentioning that word. Try a web search for "escort", "popular" or even "mocha". Now try one for "mokka".
Global market. Your brand name needs to sound memorable without actually
meaning anything unfortunate in any of the countries you sell to. A famous motor industry example was the Vauxhall Nova - a lovely name, but "no va" means "doesn't go" in Spanish. Hence it was called the Corsa in Europe - and eventually in the UK. (Actually "corsa" is a word in Italian, but it's nothing bad.)

Back on topic... I know you ruled out a towbar but have you considered a detachable one? A bit of an investment to fit, but it's worth it if you use the rack a lot.

My sister in law has one, I think the problem is the plastic spoiler / high level brake light thing which is clearly plastic and all there is to attach to at the top...which I wouldn't.
Strap on racks are thoroughly nasty IME. A removable towbar is a much better solution, especially as you will need to fit the towbar wiring to stay legal with the strap-on rack.
Personally I wouldnt want to trust my bikes to a strap-on rack, your opinion may differ. I've had one slide when the exhaust melted a strap - the turbulence behind the car on a long journey diverted the exhaust gases enough to melt a strap 5 cm away. I do sympathise as the thing is sufficently tall that roof mounting a bike is nigh-on impossible if you are under at least 6 foot.

We saw a Mokka yesterday afternoon.
Wasn't impressed.
Sorry if I offend our OP.
