Garden centre at Michel Troy about 1 mile west of Monmouth, I cannot remember its name but a search on BT should reveal it. Good cakes, a nice place to sit inside or out and I believe they do meals around lunchtime. Should be a nice ride from Bristol, up one side of the valley (say St Briavels) and back down the other (Devauden).
