Hampshire's "new" "ShareTheRoad"/ "Niceway" Campaign ( March 2017)

Hi.

Has anyone been in contact with the Hampshire council on their new "share the road" esque safety campaign?

I'm concerned that:
1) The material they use will sub-standard and give the wrong message
2) They are wasting money that should be given to the police to enforce the current rules ( as Cycling UK say, "haters will be haters"...)

I want to meet with Councillor Rob Humby, who appears to be leading this ( at least in the news articles, he's the one pushing this)... and check that what's being done carries the right message, not some victim blaming rubbish that this stuff normally gets spun into.

Any links?

Styling is in line with Think! campaigns.

Campaign messages:

drivers, look out (for cyclists) when getting out
cyclists, ride a door’s width from parked cars
drivers, look out for cyclists at junctions
cyclists, ride central on narrow roads
motorists, leave room for cyclists at traffic lights
cyclists, always stop at red lights

I always thought motor vehicles always had to stop at red lights too! Apparently not!

But they already do - all of them.

None of them try to sneak past when it's 'just' turned. Or leave before the green has been lit. Surely you know that...

Or blast through without even lifting off if they can see there's no motor vehicle in the entrance with the green light, which seems to be an increasingly common thing around here. Screw the people walking and cycling, eh?
