Hi All,

Recently had a spill on a stretch of pathway beside the A392 from Quintrell Downs Newquay to Hendra. This is a fairly recent (past two years) development, previously it has been a carriageway only with no path (quite rural). There are no markings and I was under the impression it was a unsegregated foot / cycle path.

I have checked Sustrans and Cornwall County Council websites but can find no reference to it's status.

Anyone know where I could find the info please?

i would suggest writing to the council roads people. there is a similar path near to me; it was surfaced and runs alongside the road and is separated by hedging from the road; it had been a muddy track in the past. i asked if i could cycle on it. apparently it has no status, neither footpath, cycle track nor bridleway. they suggested that it was ok to use but give priority to pedestrians.
