Interestingly I heard from a friend who works at a local bike shop and they've had a run of people bringing in bikes for repair with drawing pins in over the last few months. They've pinpointed it to somewhere between oval & Elephant & Castle. And are trying to get more detail before calling the police.

I’ve had three punctures with shiny new drawing pins in the last three months I think maybe around Kennington Road, all in the mornings on the way into town. Anyone else experiencing this now? I’ve cycled the same route every day for years and it’s just started. Going to have to change my route I think.

That one of your household bikes has been affected but not another is not as mysterious as you may think. People's riding style varies but is usually cosistent on regularly used routes. It could be that one of you rides close to the kerb and the other further out or each of you takes a different line at a particular junction. I would guess the quantity of pins suggests it's a deliberate anti-cyclist spill and would hazard a guess that the culprit did the dirty dead serrupticiously and in haste and the pins were scattered over a small area of road, probably near the kerb as they haven't been picked up by vehicle tyres.
The older I get the more I’m inclined to act my shoe size, not my age.
