Rigida vs Ryde ?

Post by bikerwaser »

Hi All

Just had an issue with my new(ish) Wheel rim spiltting on me.
It was a Ryde grizzly. it only had 2000 miles on it and ended up with a split by the valve hole.
now before the discussion goes to asking me about what psi and valve hole size and anything else , let ,me first say that my previous set of rims were Rigida Grizzly and were faultless and gave me 16,000 miles . I still have them and they probably have 4000 miles left on the but i wanted a new set to be sure.
When the new set of Ryde wheels arrived (from the same well trusted company) i noticed that the build quality of the new Ryde rims were definitely inferior to the previous Rigida rims.
What i'ld like to know from the forum is if anyone else has this, or simliar experience in these rims since the "name change" ?

thanks

Not the Grizzly, but certainly the Chrina.

I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole now.
Search Chrina on here just from me!
