Hi
Looking to do a few days fixed centre around the coast and Islands West of Glasgow

I Greenock alright or am I better staying somewhere smaller like Inverkip , any suggestions for good 50 mile routes or any tips appreciated

I'd say the best option is to take the western ferries over to the cowal area, some nice runs on very quiet roads. If you don't fancy the ferry route then head up behind Greenock on the 'Old Largs' road which again is pretty quiet and some nice views as well.
