Oh me too. Can't beat them.
Having said that, I went to the supermarket yesterday for juice and bread, got distracted by the CDs and spent £65! Got the new Goldfrapp, the newish Take That, a 50s compilation and a Temptations collection. I'm nothing if not eclectic.

This fishing site is one of the best music guides in the kingdom. Not often you can say that.
Always like this lot myself

In the unlikely event someone hasn't heard of Rachel Unthank,
here's she. Sublime.

Shack
Then,now and forever.
Also The Shins, Jens Lekman(Brum 21/5) Lucero (Brum 13/5, London 15/5) The Pernice Brothers, Josh Rouse, Jesse Malin, Ryan Adams....the list goes on and on but really ........it's Shack.
(nb, if anyone knows what I'm talking about....the Pale Fountains reunion show in Liverpool must rate as the most exciting concert I have ever seen. How many nights like that do we deserve?)

the the - brilliant - if you look at their forum there is talk of the unreleased stuff becoming available
this is the day, uncertain smile & perfect are ggreat great tunes.
shack/ michael head etc - all good too
elbow - actually improving with age - saw them supporting new order at their come back gig in 2001 & they were okay then, fast forward a few years to electric picnic 2006 (again with new order) & elbow were brilliant.
½ man ½ biscuits new album - csi ambleside is rather good - same cutting edge to the lyrics as ever (see blue badge abuser)
goldfrapp are great live, personally the new album is less enjoyable for me than black cherry
& to add one that has a cycling bent
how about the, now sadly missed, delgados?
first two albumes were called domestiques & peloton!
(universal audio is my favourite of theirs though)

Dina Carroll for me, because she's my wife's second cousin and I like her songs. Pity I've never met her, I believe she lives about 20 miles from us.
