Looking for spare TUBUS strut bolt

Post by sun ra »

I’m looking for a spare Tubus strut fixing bolt and spacer for securing a Tubus Airy rear rack.

I’ve checked the Tubus site without any joy. Perhaps it isn’t available as a spare but thought I would ask here just in case another member knows where I could purchase one.

SJS have a range of Tubus spares.

You could try an ad on the Wanted board.

If you ask a major Tubus dealer (for example https://www.ghyllside.co.uk/ in Ambleside) I expect they can contact the importer Lyon and see if that particular item is available even though it is not listed on Tubus web site.

Sometimes Lyon supply such small items at zero charge.

It's possibly because they are a really crap fixing. The standard Ttubus bar holder is much better and a straight swap.
Convention? what's that then?

Thanks - I'd already spotted the Lyon distributor info on the Tubus website. My wife emailed them yesterday and they kindly offered to send the part – thank goodness for that.

I'll make sure to use a dab of thread locker when reattaching it.
