Mezzo D9 folding bike?

Post by Dave W »

I've just acquired a used one of these, probably one of the earliest as the frame number is 150. It's in good nick but somewhere down the line they seem to have changed the luggage rack a little and fitted it with a flat plate to fit their luggage bags. The bags are on ebay fairly cheap but probably won't fit the rack I have. So, any ideas where I might get a specific rack? Used to be ATB sales I think who's customer service wasn't that good years ago when I owned a Whyte mountain bike. Or does anyone have a scrap Ori/Mezzo stuffed in the back of the garage? :D

Good luck, IIRC the rack was very specific to get the bike to fold.

Do never "upgrade" to 10sp, doesn't work well with the Mezzo frame!
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best,
since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.
Thus you remember them as they actually are...

Thankyou. The more recent models have slots in the plate on top of the rack. The bag has plastic 'L' shaped hooks that slot onto the rack. My rack has round tubular normal metal tubing.
