I don't understand why there is so much violence and bad temper. It gains nothing for anyone. Can someone please explain, or am I simply being a 'stupid female'?

Some fit cyclists might be able to out-speed the offending/offended motorist and get away, but not all. In my experience the motorised idiots usually drive on, in whichever direction, leaving me comparatively safe to meditate on human stupidity. Their ability to get away from me is, I suppose, their twisted "justification" for their anti-social behaviour. Look at me, I've got a engy-wengy. By the way, what about those parent drivers who allow (encourage?) their child-passengers to shout or trail things out of the window? In my childhood, these were near-capital offences.

I like this humour, especially the engy wengy bit.
talking about children... an 18 year old was driving his car round the corner outside my home and suddenly his ten year old brother either grabbed the steering wheel or shouted look out... so the 18 year old did and crashed in to 30,000 worth of mortgage outside my neighbour's home sitting on his front garden.
Still what does it matter? His father came round after about 20 minutes and ticked me off for living here at all. Shouldn't be allowed. Curious really when his son was talking to his mummy on the mobile phone when he had the accident, asking her how to discipline the 10yr old, who was wafted away before the police arrived.

Offtopic but curious nonetheless.

Overused road by the county highway committee wanting to make full use of all its roads.... excessively full and fast in this case
of a back road used until recently by cyclists,
villagers and horse riders but too dangerous now for any of them, although the cyclists still use.
