Kay, my wife, experiences numbness in her feet after about 30 mins cycling. Doc suggests it might be saddle related pressure on nerves rather than pedal related ....... does anyone have a similar experience or any useful suggestions?????

If it is saddle-related, how about trying a lozenge saddle, which is quite literally an oval no "tongue". I saw these in Holland recently and they seemed relatively common there.
The other option would be to check out Edinburgh Bike Co-op' women's store at
www.venusbikes.com to see what advice they could give.

I found one pic of the oval saddle on the web but the page had expired. E-mail me at
colchester-cycling@mac.com and I'll send you the pic.

Indeed it is saddle related... all that way down.
I sometimes get it after 80-90miles!
With me it just wears off but if she gets it after half an hour she has got to ease her inside thigh somehow (with respect) possibly by standing in the saddle and releasing the tension just there. Then there is a knock oneffect.

A little massage pressure can help too even as she goes along.
