Is the frame a current model that is on their website? Either the Audax which is aluminium with carbon forks,or the race frame that is carbon, but I believe with an aluminium seat post.(amendment -should read seat tube)
I have the Audax bike in a 54 and it's a very good bike, I have used it on a daily basis to work and day rides and short tours.
No experience of the race type carbon frame but looks up to the part but if weight is your main consideration then I would think there are lighter frames around. For the money you are quoting it's really worth a bid.
I have an earlier carbon tube alloy lugged frame badged as a Nelson as most suppliers did. There have been a few similar or the same frames for sale on this forum under different names.
A lot depends on what you want to use the frame for.
Nelson Cycles is now run by the son, their website is Cyclebasket.com and I tend to call in with them when in their area for items that practical cyclists buy. I have also found over the years that, they build excellent wheels and have rates where they supply the components, or if you supply they charge a little bit more but are happy to do the work.

Was looking at the carbon / aluminium frame in yellow the local auction bike sold for £180 , have heard the 54cm frame only is 1500grams so a 300 gram fork I would say not a bad weight. worth a punt me thinks.
