Surely they would have been faster on a two-wheeler due to less friction and weight etc.

You do realise its actually a cartoon?....

But it's based on reality! What do you say to that, eh?

That's true, but they wouldn't be able to carry as much or have passengers. Dino (the purple dinosaur thingy) for example, frequently sat in the car as far as I remember.

Brave and foolish...

I remember 25/30 years ago being out on a ctc club run. We were heading back to sheffield when half the group turned left at handsworth onto the parkway and into town. We waited for them to retrace, which they never did and we found they all rode into town all the way via the parkway. Having said that, everyone was young and daft.

Are there no depths of inaccuracy to which this forum will not descend ?
Fred's surname is indeed Flintstone. His neighbour, however, is Barney Rubble.

One fully laden cycle tourist getting off the ferry which landed on the beach at Lutro on the south coast of Crete. No roads in & no roads out. No roads in village - was stuck for things to do once off the sand. Sat there then got on next ferry.

Sharp Edge!

What a nutter!

There is an easier path to the summit the other side of the Tarn.

As were on the subject of the Flintstones, did you know that the first married couple to be seen in bed together on TV were Fred and Wilma?
Also, Wilma's pregnancy was the first to be shown all the way through.

However the first pregnant woman to be shown as actually pregnant was Lucile Ball, in I Love Lucy.

I used to watch the Flintstones as a child, I don't remember seeing the conception episode. Maybe Fred turned out the light, he was always a gentleman.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned riding on newly completed but unopened motorways, bypasses etc. I've been able to do this several times around here and have never been challenged, even when there have been people finishing off bits of work. I suppose they are all sub-contractors and could not care less.

I was driving over the QE Bridge at Dartford and a cyclist had been stopped by the crossing patrol just about 3/4 of the way up. So he would have got a telling off and then the lift he should have taken in the frst place for the down hill section.
