It’s looking good :D
A big difference to last time when I woke up she was at Dornoch RAB

viewtopic.php?t=120240&start=285

this morning she just cleared Helmsdale.

A power meter? I suspect at this point she’s working with a pain meter and trying hard to keep it as low as possible.

Will she go on for the 1000 mile record?
The RRA schedule is for a LEJOG.

As of now (08.45, Friday), she has 4hrs to beat her 52hr, 45 min target and she's about 45 miles away from JOG. Sounds very doable. :-)

I hope the good people of Caithness can get out and line the route for the final push and witness history in the making. Keep going Christina….

Ooh, good graph!
Pleased to see that she's past the point in 2019 where she dropped off pace dramatically so hopefully that's a positive sign that she's paced it really well.

Once at Wick it's only about 17 miles - hopefully a fraction under an hour at her current average speed.

whilst I don't think its going to threaten the record it does look like pretty rough conditions for the last 16 miles. Going to be a bit of a slog

It looks as though she's leaving Wick on the 50 hrs. The next few kms looks to be into strengthening headwind then it will be on her shoulder. Fingers crossed for inside 51 hrs.

XCWeather showing a 15mph NW wind at Wick. It looks like she has loads of time in hand, but that's a bit mean right at the end, and there's very little shelter up there.

Fingers crossed she's feeling good and she finishes off as brilliantly as she's ridden so far :)

12 miles to go; I assume she won’t match the 20mph pace she managed at the beginning but should be comfortably inside 52h

Less than 5 miles to go, wonder if she might just sneak it in under 51hrs?!

Going to be tight though - wouldn’t she have to be in by 1100? Definitely going to be well under 51:30 though.

I don't think she'll break 51 hours now, even with the 90+ m drop into town, unless she has a sprint finish, but won't be far outside it.

Amazing!
