Would you answer my question if you knew the answer?

So many questions! What fun you are!
It’s over 65 years since I was given a Guinness book of Records for Christmas. I’m not going to buy another at my time of life.
Since you find questions fun here’s another one for you. If a logical thought process isn’t sufficient for a satisfactory answer do you know of any way to get the answer other than buying the book?
To answer your question, yes on an open forum I would politely give an answer to benefit others. If you were to ask me privately you’d get a different answer. 😂

It's quite common for men of a certain type to be afraid to say "I don't know." Something to do with ego, I guess ...

I managed to see her coming through Winwick just after 3pm. I borrowed the hooter (squeeze bulb bugle type) from Clare's tandem & got a thank you from Sarah as I hooted as she passed & a cheery wave from the following support.

I will try to get out for the return leg to give her another hoot. I reckon she'll probably be passing back through these parts on Wednesday afternoon or evening depending on how her pace holds up.

Just through Taunton when I looked earlier doing really well. I find it remarkable she only has three years riding experience. https://www.cyclist.co.uk/in-depth/lejo ... ah-ruggins
Are there any reports on how she is holding up physically? ( I don’t use X anymore which used to be a source)

She's only about an hour from reaching Land's End now.

I'm probably not reading that right, but it looks like Lands End was done in under 2d8h
I think I did read it wrong! Please see later posts from others ...

If so, that's considerably inside schedule for the outright (all genders) record:
Breaking the original record by three hours, MacDonald reached John O'Groats – covering 2,711km – in a time of 5 days 18 hours and 3 minutes.

13km to go to the turn 👍
Looks to be thankfully cool down there only 16C. It’s 22C here in Scotland 🔥

And she's made Lands End! In under 2 & a half days. That gives her a bit of leeway for the outright record. :D

Edited to add: and she's set off northwards again. JoG here we come!

Sarah is still going strong & well ahead of the outright record average pace. She is currently heading north towards Worcester.

The purple dot is Sarah heading back towards JoG, the brown dot is the current outright record average pace also heading North & the green dot is the women's record average pace still heading south.

She appears very disciplined over stopping or should that be not stopping 😊.
A few times I’ve had a split screen with live traffic maps in one. On the busier sections especially after hills there is a yellow line often follows her that must be very stressful. Just approaching Kidderminster and it looks like bedlam ahead with red and yellow lines all over. She can’t be blamed for them 😅

I had a half-idea of heading over to watch her come through the Manchester corridor area but that was obviously done overnight, she's up between Lancaster and Kendal now.

Onto Shap Fell within an hour I guess, still well up on record pace.

She will be picking up more of a northerly / NE wind now, maybe not as bad on the west side of the country but I think that final stretch up the A9 in particular is going to be block headwind. 🤞
