It's taken me a day to work out that if you click on the dots you get the stat's !
You’re not alone 😊 Took me a day to discover it’s not just photos under the photos tab. There is some text there too when selected.

This is an extraordinary effort, the physical and psychological demands of keeping going at this speed and this distance severely challenging. Whatever the outcome, and she clearly has remarkable determination, we're watching something very special. Thanks to whoever posted the link, bit hard not to dot watch!

Good luck to Sarah, I am in awe of her abilities.

I found this short (5min 30s) video of her describing her preparations for a previous Transcontinental Race ride.

rareposter wrote: 15 May 2025, 6:19am I had a half-idea of heading over to watch her come through the Manchester corridor area but that was obviously done overnight, she's up between Lancaster and Kendal now.

Onto Shap Fell within an hour I guess, still well up on record pace.

She will be picking up more of a northerly / NE wind now, maybe not as bad on the west side of the country but I think that final stretch up the A9 in particular is going to be block headwind. 🤞
It must have been lovely doing Shap Fell in the early morning, knowing you are about 3/4 done! :)

It feels like the attempt is on a knife-edge, with that headwind section coming up.

Are there any graphs of her progress, so we can judge how much her speed is dropping (and how long stops are/were) ?

Exciting!!!

If you click on her dot (I'll post the link again cos it's a couple of pages back now), you get a pop up of basic stats - speed, time stopped, wind speed and direction etc

Tracker link:
https://www.followmychallenge.com/live/ ... 36&b=0&p=0

Purple Dot labelled 01 is Sarah.
Her support crew are the red dots (labelled 02 - 05) in various places - there's a follow car and then a food vehicle which you'll occasionally see off in a nearby town obviously restocking and a couple of media cars.

Orange dot is the current Men's record pace, green dot is the current Women's record pace, both dots are well behind her.

Edit: It's 10am on Thursday 15th at the moment and she's just north of Penrith so over Shap Fell. The Men's record pace at this time is level with Manchester so she's about 100 miles up on that.

She's within a few minutes of the Scottish border heading back north!
(looks like she stopped for a bit around Carlisle but she's still well up on overall record pace)

The dots of the media cars have all raced ahead to get to that point for the photos! :-)

Thanks! (some of that I knew)

I've found the Replay button. It's laborious, but from that you can see when she stopped. Looks like once around every sunset (possibly changes to night bike? Or just for more clothes?), and usually around 4am (power-nap?). This is very crude analysis, I may be missing other short stops. But it certainly shows how organised they are!
I didnt note any decent stop at Lands End for photos.

They state a 30 second turnaround at LE. Which would be long enough for anyone there. 😅

Although it looks likely she's gonna do this, there is a "Silver Medal" time to aim for.

https://www.curvecycling.com/blogs/news ... km-lejogle

Unsupported (unofficial) record of 5days 21 hours. A very different approach:

He arrived just 16 minutes late, welcomed by the cheers of a single fan. Kristof didn’t seem too fussed about his late arrival. The final 200 km included atrocious weather and the busy A30 highway jammed full of agitated holiday-makers on the first day of their break. Did Kristof push through traffic intent on achieving his goal? No. He stopped for coffee breaks when he thought conditions were too dangerous, after all, he had no support car to shield him. His priority was to arrive safe.

While waiting I met Mark walking Ullapool to Italy. He had set off using a bicycle trailer Metal fatigue and three punctures later he abandoned it and went to the middle if LIDL.

Paulatic, nice crisp photo's, and good to see she's still smiling. :)
Two shopping trollies all the way to Italy, that's a hard row to hoe, good luck to him too.

The headwinds she's contending with are due to ease off into the evening and overnight.

Has anyone else noticed the route choice after Glenfarg?
I noticed on her way down that it was different going back. Interestingly neither of them are the same as Mike Broadwith as he took the B996 beside the Glenfarg water.
Any insights?

Is this the bit you mean?

I noticed the strange backroads bit. But if you look at her actual route ("lumpy" line*) she did actually come down the B996.

I noticed she made a small detour just after Abington earlier today. I don't know if it was a diversion or a mistake.

(*Tap/click the details tab on the right, then tap on Sarah's name. A little green "track shown" appears & when you close the details tab you get to see her actual route. Or any of the support vehicles for that matter.)
