Yes that is the bit. Thanks I didn’t realise you could get the actual track up. Maybe she was stopped at Abington the sort of tracking GPS does when stopped.
On my Safari browser the track option was at the bottom

She's put in a huge stint since I last looked first thing this morning.

Only just over 200km to go now, she's through Aviemore and coming up to Inverness.

About 110km ahead of current Men's record pace.

I noticed on her way down that it was different going back. Interestingly neither of them are the same as Mike Broadwith as he took the B996 beside the Glenfarg water.
Any insights?
Is this the bit you mean?

I noticed the strange backroads bit. But if you look at her actual route ("lumpy" line*) she did actually come down the B996.
Maybe it was roadworks/diversion that got cleared just before they set off?

Definitely in the bag, barring real disasters.

I have noted that her daily average has finally slipped below 500km, so is she slowing down

road.cc have been running some stories on this too. Not always the easiest to find cos they're buried within each day's "live blog" which is basically a rolling news feed.

(from yesterday)

Links in there to her Instagram and some "on the road" stories.

She's up at Dornoch now, just over 100km to go but it does include the awful Helmsdale ramps along the A9.

Less than 50 miles to go & still well ahead of record time. She's just on the bends of Berriedale as I type.

Just WoW…well done lass!
Pub or bed? I know where she’ll be heading 😀
The last posts describing her condition these last two days didn’t make for comfortable reading I hope there is no long term damage.

5D 11h 14 min?

James was the Dornoch Firth.

Something else, just something else, even without the illness she endured. One of the most remarkable physical and mental achievements in cycling.

Having dabbled at Audax I know how hard it is to keep going when tiredness and all the aches and pains set in, so the idea of ploughing on at a rate of nearly 500km per day, for five and a bit days is just a testament to a kind of mental strength and determination most of us could not manage. Truly impressive.

If you click on her dot (I'll post the link again cos it's a couple of pages back now), you get a pop up of basic stats - speed, time stopped, wind speed and direction etc

Tracker link:

Thanks! (some of that I knew)

I've found the Replay button. It's laborious, but from that you can see when she stopped. Looks like once around every sunset (possibly changes to night bike? Or just for more clothes?), and usually around 4am (power-nap?). This is very crude analysis, I may be missing other short stops. But it certainly shows how organised they are!
I didnt note any decent stop at Lands End for photos.
Turns out the FMC site has recently added a v good stopped-time bar! Go to the ANALYTICS link (top bar) from the main site, and scroll down quite a lot (no contents/links!).

Sarah stopped 1-2h every night, with a regular pattern of 6minute stops through the days. Looks like clockwork.

It would be great if someone could add this achievement to the Wikipedia article:

I’m no expert but I think it would be better at home here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cycling_records

Wish I’d thought of that page to satisfy @ Mattheus quest for evidence 😀
