She's through Bristol & just about to cross over the M4. FWIW That was about 3½ days into my, definitely non-recordbreaking, LEJOG!

As far as I can work out she’s slightly ahead of schedule. Next checkpoint is the A430 junction at roughly 2019.

I have her now at 242 miles with her average speed up to 19.5mph (her average over last 80 mile was 20.5mph, a lot less ascent now after leaving the west country)

she does appear to be enjoying a good tailwind (17 gust 25mph) and this wind should be with her for some time.

at least 30 minutes up

From Chris

Christina Murray was due to join the A449 proper at the Claines RAB at 2212. The tracker shows her just short at 2113, so we can confidently put her at 56 mins up on schedule after 260 miles.
Cracking start and talk from the team is of a rising southerly.

As I go to bed now on the same time as the record and ahead of schedule. We’ve had very heavy rain the last few hours ( so heavy it was knocking our satellite signal out) but the forecast is it should be gone or light in the morning.
I think Shap will be the telling point tomorrow whether it’s on or off target.

What would be interesting (and I don’t know if it’s possible) would be a tracker comparing her live data with Christina Mackenzie‘s track.
Bump

Going well SW of brum at 11pm.

at her 23:48 marker. She has managed 309 mile in 16 hours (av 19.3 mph)

She seems to be spending a fair bit of time on fast dual carriageway roads, is their support vehicles protecting her ?

also, that intersing graph posted above, is that from twitter (I don't have a twitter account so can't see this stuff) or is it available somewhere else for all to see ?

75 mins up at Lancaster
Yes the graph is usually produced by Mike @24hourmaths on Tw. As he is away for TCR a couple of volunteers are producing it.
As I type she is past her stopping point from last effort so that’s good.
Mike thinks it’s on target for just over 450mls at 24 hours.

Oh and yes there is a vehicle behind with a RRA official within. I’ll be out later as she passes probably on Beattock summit if the rain stops.

I have her at her the 07:36 waypoint at 437 miles giving an average of 18.3mph from start.

I have her covering 128 mile from 23:48 until 07:36 (av 16.4mph) so has she even stopped for any sort of rest?

also - what was her offcial start time? I have just went off the waypoints on the tracking map and guessed at 07:45

Up! Up! Up! from me.

I would say to all making attempts, a decent tracking system makes all the difference to us armchair riders. The system used by 24hrmaths really sets the standard, and his progress graphs against current schedule and earlier attempts allow analysis "at a glance."

It’s a pity the SPOT seems not to be working properly.
