Cycling routes in Newham?
Not sure if I'm supposed to post it here but does anyone know any relitavely safe routes, in newham, to cycle two miles (I'm brand spanking new so it might be alot for me) Can I just go to a park and do a few laps?
Got a bike and 'bout to learn
Re: Cycling routes in Newham?
Go to the Olympic Park? There are a load of wide shared-use paths through the park, plus the canal towpath, and if you want something a bit more pedestrian-free you can pay a fiver or so to do laps of the velodrome's outdoor road circuit for as long as your patience lasts.

if you have a nice bike you have to be careful about not getting mugged be alert to who is around you esp more than one person on a moped. I was talking to a guy on a pedelec and was going across Clapham Common and two such one with a machete tried to get him.
