My new Bike

Post by eileithyia »

Good news and bad news week.
Collected my lovely red shiny replacement bike, had to be red, the alternative was blue and team ribble are all blue.
Bad news is that my collar bone does not appear to be healing and i need further investigations and a possible bone graft ( hence the questions about bone grafts earlier in the week). So looks like I could be back to square one.

What a lovely machine! I hope you have many enjoyable and safe miles on it.

I wish you a speedy recovery with your collar bone.

Yes, nice bike! Like the colour too!
Can you manage to ride it ok?

Sad to hear about your collar bone. I guessed there must be a problem after your "bone graft" posts.

Good luck, and have a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Mick.

Thanks guys n gals, had to have red, the choice was blue or red and there are too many blue Ribble bikes around here.

Have been doing a fairly steady 30 miles 2-3 times a week over past couple of weeks, not sure I'm up to getting out on the Weds mid week ride yet, especially as I usually park and ride and cannot do reverse manouvring in the car yet. thou train to south manchester area might be an option....

Was fairly low at the beginning of the week and saw no reason to do exercises/continue with getting fit until the voice reason stepped in and said i have to continue cos have to be as fit as possible if I have to another op.

Thats a fab machine! Love the colour... mine came in black or black!

Sorry to hear you need another operation. My brother had a bone graft op about 10 years ago, but it was a very complicated affair. (repair to a compound fracture). Effective though, cos he was able to keep his leg.

Sending healing vibes, cos no one wants to miss the long days of cycling ahead.

Sorry to hear that your shoulder is not healing :( . I was wondering about your bone graft post. Best wishes and a speedy recovery.
A lovely bike :D even colour matched tyres. Is that the WTB saddle you posted about, looks comfy.

Hi Manx cat the op is not def yet, need some other investigations first and financially cannot afford it until next Jan assuming they let me back to work on light duties so that I might rebuild some sick time. So should get the summer in doing some cycling and getting as fit as possible first.

Edwards yes that is the WTB saddle and is comfy as saddles go.
