I'm after some advice as to what portable grease gun to buy .
I've seen Fenwicks Assembly Grease that comes in tube with a very good applicator for hard to reach spots.
Here's a link to that :
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/fenw ... prod149717I wondered if anyone uses that or any other grease that works well and also has that type of easy-to-get-into-those-hard-to-reach nozzles ?
Thanks

a tube of grease with a nozzle is a handy thing but it isn't an alternative to a grease gun when it comes to forcing grease into small drillings. For that you need something that generates more than a few psi. Good grease guns can generate up to several thousand psi.
So really you need to choose your weapon according to your intended target. I use various 'proper grease guns' but for occasional use on bike parts the little dualco grease guns seem quite good.
cheers

I bought one of these recently ...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Beta-1750M-min ... 00JWM3X1A/... and filled it with Castrol LM.
It's not particularly designed for hard-to-reach places but is certainly a convenient dispenser that, for the most part, helps avoid a messy finger.

Thanks for the replies.
I think the Henwick grease is still looking like the option as its small, cheap and has the small nozzle.
Cheers all !

I don't know why you need a portable grease-gun in the first place, I know a guy who's cycling from London to New Zealand and he's not carrying one...
But if you
really want to carry one, bear in mind that plastic ones that screw onto a tub of grease are lightweight and convenient, but not all the grease tubs have the same thread! Also, bear in mind that for proper high-pressure use like in grease ports/nipples you may end up breaking the tip of plastic guns, I've seen this happening.

I'm a Mobile Bicycle Mechanic and was just looking for reasonably priced easy and light options.
In the end I've gone for this :
