I've been keeping a bag of SRAM Force internals that I removed from a broken set for just such requests, but I have pretty much every spring except the one you want, dagnabbit :| If any of it might be useful the bits are yours for postage.

Thanks for the offer but it's only the one spring that I need. :(

you can usually make springs from piano wire if needs be, but those look quite an awkward shape to me.

That's my fallback solution, I thought I could use some soft steel wire then case harden it. Hope it will last until I can get the real thing. It's my son in laws bike and he's not mechanically minded and I am yet to see it. I suggested he uses a rubber band until then.

piano wire is sold in modelling shops and some metals suppliers. It is ideal for making springs out of because it is hardened and tempered such that it is very strong (and springy) yet not so brittle that it cannot be cold-formed into springs. If you wish to make a good copy of the original spring then be sure to get the correct diameter of wire.

Expensive for a bit of bent piano wire, and all the way from Taiwan, but includes postage. They have the LH version as well if you look in their eBay shop. It certainly looks a bit like the one in your picture, but it says "Right" and "2008-2012" so maybe there are slightly different versions / models / years.....
