Anyone know anything about the above?
As far as I can work out it's a 'safety' skewer with an open dropout at one side and a captive bolt at the other.
What I don't know (and documentation seems to be lacking) is whether the captive bolt is threaded for normal QRs or not.
Anyone able to advise?

Re: Trek Thruskew
according to this description, the dropout "loops all the way around the skewer" so exactly the same as a ThruAxle (TA) then.

I have them on my new(ish) bike and they're good but no better than the QRs on my other bikes.

A picture I’ve seen suggests one side is open - is that right?
And do you know if the captive bolt is standard pitch or different?

Re: Trek Thruskew
Right: some answers:
Seems to be a system with a captive nut on the NDS dropout (which is open as per normal dropouts) and a closed dropout on the DS. To drop the wheel out, the skewer needs to be unscrewed and then withdrawn all the way out.
As supplied the bike came with a 4mm Allen head skewer. The captive bolt appears to be threaded for any normal skewer.
